 I have been a customer of Garbo’s for quite some time and have seen the store transform from a modest boutique to a fashion destination due to the expertise of Jen!!

Not only does Jen excel in the customer service area, but she also knows her customers tastes and styles and always has us in mind when shopping for the upcoming seasons and new brands that she knows her customers will love!

Jen has become my “go to” fashion guide and a dear friend in the process. 

 I have become a regular customer at Garbo’s for one very good reason….her name is Jen!  I think it is fair to say that I am a fan of shopping. Having said that I have never enjoyed shopping for clothing at the Mall or in large department stores.  As the child of a retailer in Sarnia….my father owned and operated Douglas Keddy Shoes on Christina Street for 40 years….I grew up watching customer service at its best.  That’s exactly what I found shopping with Jen.  She has had a long career in sales in some of the best retail stores in the world.  Her experience and customer service is exceptional.  Jen not only has learned about my style preferences, she encourages me to consider new options and has helped me build a wardrobe that works well for me.  In addition to that….she’s fun to work with!  Jen is hard working, creative, friendly and has become a trusted fashion advisor…and friend. 

We are fortunate to have a special lady’s wear store; Garbo’s here in Sarnia. There are many reasons for its success, one of which is the great staff led by the store manager Jen Angers Daerendinger.
It is quite evident that Jen truly loves retail, interacting with customers and helping them find that “best outfit”.

Jen has a true interest in her customers, professionally and also at a personal level, which makes the shopping experience pleasant. She is able to discern what I am most  comfortable wearing and guides me through the selection process with patience, thoughtful suggestions, and lots of laughter which is often needed.
 

With regular occurrence I will receive personal messages from Jen letting me know when my favorite clothing brands arrive at the store or when the next special event is happening at Garbo’s. And there are the videos and posts by Jen on Facebook and YouTube for us shoppers. Her commitment to the Garbo’s customers is amazing.

Recently while Dawn and Jen were on a seasonal buying trip in Toronto Jen actually Face Timed me during an appointment with a clothing line I wear so I could preview and make personal selections for myself. How dedicated is that! I felt very special that Jen made this extra effort to personalize my shopping at Garbo’s.

I don’t think working at Garbo’s is just a job for Jen but leans more toward a passion that she loves and wants to share with her customers. Aren’t we lucky!
